Looking for a loving family to adopt my female Jack Russell Terrier who has been with my family for 5years+. However, due to my baby girl growing up, it was not practical to put them together as my girl likes to pull her ears & tail and throw things at the dog.

Brief Profile:

Name: Ginger, Gender: Female, Birth Date: 11 April 2004.

This is an extremely affectionate & friendly Jack Russell. Does not bite. Is generally friendly with other dogs. However, has a history of fighting back when attacked by another aggressive Jack Russell. No medical history. Very fit and healthy. Has never been to the Vet. Short smooth hair. Can almost go leash free in public but may still bark at other people especially foreign workers. (never understood why) Will never bite them though. I've never leashed her when outside but then I'm not sure if the new owner will be able to control her. She responds when I call her back. However, she does not know how to cross roads etc thus still not 100% safe to let her go around unattended.

I'm looking for a very loving family to adopt her. Preferably with someone to be at home at any time of the day eg. the maid etc. as she is a very attention seeking dog. Loves walks. Is a superb playmate to children as she is still very active despite being 5years old. However, please note that she likes to bark when strangers go past your house. So, if you stay at a corner HDB unit, she may bark less than if you stay in a corridor or landed unit. However, for landed properties, owners may be more tolerant of the barking than of HDB owners. She does'nt bark non-stop, just that when she hear people talking outside or if foreign footsteps pass by or the garang guni man etc. Those with past experience of keeping JRTs will be strongly considered. Because the common reason for JRTs abandonment are 1) Hyperactivity, 2) Aggressiveness, 3) Barking, 4) Hair Loss. Please note that Ginger does shed fur especially when she scratches. This problem is greatly reduced when you brush her fur more often. And make sure she gets her bath at least once every 2 weeks. She has no skin infection or any other infection. She is also paper trained.

Will throw in all her accessories to the new owner. Please note that the adoption fee of $50 is a token sum to ensure that the owner is sincere / at least some form of responsibilty.

She has been eating Abady Beef but recently changed to Science Diet as Abady has been out of stock for few mths. You can contact me at vanda_ms_joaquim@yahoo.com.sg for further details. Please contact me only if you know you will be responsible for the rest of her life.
